Full Description

The Brand

Aspiring to bring a public house (‘pub’) that sold a variety of beer brands to the doorstep of South African, Derryck Myers and Robbie Mitchell opened the KEG & Thistle in Florida Road, Durban in 1990. The KEG is now an 18-franchise-strong household name, renowned for its traditional and hearty pub fare and enviable selection of alcoholic beverages, set against the backdrop of a friendly neighbourhood atmosphere where people of all ages gather for any occasion. The KEG is good food, good drinks and great cheer.

Concept

The KEG is the perfect hub for business people to meet and relax in an environment that is both warm and friendly. It is also ideal for young adults and families that enjoy living the KEG way of life. Always innovative, always inspired, the KEG offers traditional pub food and modern fare.

The KEG menu stands testimony to the diversity of pub fare on offer and includes favourites like its home-made pies, pub platter and munchies. It wouldn't be a pub without bangers and mash or fish and chips, so naturally these are included on the traditional pub menu.

Support

A full bouquet of training and on-going operational support is provided to the franchisee.
