Fastway Couriers (South Africa) is pleased to announce that City Couriers has acquired a shareholding in the company and appointed a director to the board.

City Couriers provides bulk freight, linehaul, logistics and distribution to large national customers.

The transaction brings together Fastway’s small parcel distribution capability with City Couriers’ large bulk freight ability. This combination will enable both groups to offer customers a more powerful and appropriate product offering.

Richard Robinson, CEO of Fastway, said that the Fastway group had worked hard over the last few years to build its national small parcel delivery network and is now ideally positioned for exponential growth. That growth, he believes, can be more rapidly realised with City Couriers alongside – “We are excited to be partnering with City Couriers to unlock value in currently un-serviced market segments”, he said.
