SA Franchise Brands welcomes Jason Glynn, Franchisor of TENGIZAK.
What has been paramount to Tengizak’s success?
Having people in the company that understand the cash loan business and that bought into the fact that building a sustainable business for the future is vital.
What challenges do you face at present?
Finding more people of similar caliber and further developing of our business model.
With a network of more than 10 franchises nationwide, how has your franchise model worked in favour of the group?
Currently the franchises are all owned by the franchisor but we are developing pathways for our existing agents to own and partner with us, as this is where we believe our future lies.
What are some of the attributes required from franchisees?
Hardworking, honest, visionary and disciplined.
How would you describe the overall relationship between the group and its franchisees?
Our current agents are VERY keen to own their own businesses and we are working on a plan to transfer ownership to them.
What kind of training and support can franchisees expect?
Although the franchisees own their own business, mutual support from both parties is key the training and support is “hands-on” and ongoing.
Which factors are paramount for sustained future growth within the group with specific reference to its present and future franchisees?
Group success depends on the individual success of our franchisees and through close co-operation any lessons learned by one shall be passed on to the next and so on. This creates continuous improvement and flexibility of the business model.
Where to from here and into the future?
Although we currently run a successful business model we are keen to develop our franchise further by introducing an agent-franchise business plan. This will also aid the introduction of new franchisee’s to Tengizak and our overall ambition is to have over 100 franchises nationwide with even longer term plans to make it multi-national.
