Sharne Bresler and Quinnette Brits launched and registered the company during August 2011 and have been growing in students, teachers and Franchisees. We currently have 24 Franchisees all over South Africa. Together we have more than three thousand learners enrolled.
We deliver on our promise to make children count. Kids learn how to count and that they count because of them working to improve their skills. The skills, values and attitudes we model and teach makes a huge difference in their Mathematics understanding and school results. We aim to improve their whole school experience and job prospects.
We brought international best practice in Maths study and tuition from our exposure to international training from India and Japan and wrote our own books to empower students to reach their full potential in Maths. Each branch reaches out to their immediate community either from a centre or schools in the immediate geographical area and teach extra mural enrichment, practical and tactile Maths skills.
We provide a six full day training course to help matriculants gain confidence in their tactile and visual Maths skills. We support with regular ongoing training courses. We also support with office setup, financial control systems and all stock.
A potential franchisee must share our vision of making every child count and must be eager to make a difference in the standard of education in South Africa and beyond. A successful franchisee must be willing to follow the rules and the principles of the Abacus Maths System. We call on people that are inspired to make a difference in education to get involved, as we want to empower teachers to use these concepts to heal the scarred face of education in this nation.
