Adega Restaurants, in the form of the traditional, halal and express variants, began in the late ’90s, so that people could gather to enjoy traditional Portuguese fare and hospitality. Through the years Adega has become renowned for its traditional Portuguese cuisine and for being affordable, yet highly upmarket.
As digital transformation is now a necessity, we have gone out of our way to create an integrated digital backbone that drives the Adega brand. Adega has relaunched with a fresh new look, and introduced some great new concepts that will make any potential new franchisee, excited, and confident in joining a team that has over 25 years of experience in running prosperous award-winning restaurants.
Whilst each restaurant has its own character, the one common factor throughout our network of restaurants is our Portuguese hospitality, which places emphasis on celebrating delicious food in the company of family and friends. Adding onto the already successful Adega Restaurants, the Franchisor has expanded to include the Adega Lounge. The lounge culture has become popular as it promotes an intimate and unique experience, where one can hang around in a classy setting. The Adega Lounge brings the essence of this upmarket, warm and friendly lounge culture to life, offering cool, tasty cocktails, together with phenomenal fare in a gorgeous setting.
Having developed a business system based on the experience gleaned from the successful operation of these restaurants since 2006, the Franchisor has taken over the Adega Restaurants with a view of revitalising the Franchise, bringing it into the new age of competitive digital marketing and offerings.
Training takes place at our head office appointed store, where the franchisee, along with their management and staff, will undergo an extensive programme that will equip them with the tools that they need to run a successful restaurant. Operational support is offered by our dedicated Operations team who conduct activities monthly ensuring that brand standards are upheld.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry is not a must but highly advantageous. Franchisees must be enthusiastic, hands on and motivated. They should also be passionate about food and customer service, as this will set them in good stead to be successful. They must be prepared to work long hours and be extremely driven and energetic.
