The Brand

Bathcoat SA was started 12 years ago in Cape Town when both my colleague and I were running a bath re-surfacing business in Bloemfontein and Cape Town respectively. Combined, we have 31 years’ experience in the re-glazing of sanitary ware. We did extensive research on various products resulting in a specially formulated process. We moved to Kwa-Zulu Natal and recently sold the Franchise in Kwa-Zulu Natal and are now operating in the Eastern Cape. The Bathcoat SA product is decanted and boxed for distribution in Port Elizabeth and sent to the Franchisees in their various locations. Our aim is to set up Franchises in all the provinces in South Africa. Our Head Office is based in Port Elizabeth.

Concept

Bathcoat SA only re-surface, refurbish and re-enamel, sanitary ware and related products.

Our target market is the hotels, bed and breakfast establishments, blocks of flats (corporate owned and private), private homes, etc. A typical franchise can be operated from your home where you can make use of your garage and/or a small office on your premises.

You require a small Light Duty Vehicle and depending on the size of the Franchise, 1 to 2 assistants. Initially one assistant is only required.

Support

Included in the R 60 000 is a minimum of two weeks initial training , preferably in Port Elizabeth for one week and a further one week at the location of the Franchisee. This will depend entirely on how quick the prospective Franchisee can learn the process, etc. Also included in the R 60 000 is a full set of equipment required to carry out the operation as well as 10 (ten) Kits (able to do ten baths).

A list of the equipment will be supplied on request. There are no royalties paid to the Franchisor as these are built into the cost of the Kits. The Kits at this present time are selling to the Franchisee for R 450 each. A list of the contents of the Kit will also be supplied on request. (Please note we are not VAT registered as yet).

Are You Our Next Franchisee?

A person with a technical background is preferable, however, not compulsory. Must be able to communicate well and have an “outgoing“ type personality. This person is ideal for making a success. A level of education is not necessarily a requirement. A technical, hands on type person will be ideal as the “process” is not too difficult and this type of individual learns quickly. He must be able to call on various establishments, but we are only a phone call away should he require assistance in this regard. We have found this to be advisable in the early stages of trading.
