Bimbo's is a yummy classic with a brand new look but the same dependable taste.

The Brand

Our Story:

It’s 1970, on the corner of Kotze and Banket Streets in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, South Africa…..

Around the time that the Billboard Charts are topping Diana Ross “Aint No Mountain High Enough” and Neill Diamond’s “Crackling Rose”.

We’re fascinated by foods like quiche and ranch salad dressing. We’re wearing fashion that is all about individuality and we’re intoxicated by carrot cake. There is just one problem; Nowhere to eat after the party. Fortunately, a very clever man from Johannesburg named Costas Paizes decided that Bimbo’s would be the very first to stay open 24 hours in South Africa. The crowds roared with satisfaction. Whether it was the very early hours of the morning or on your way out to work – Bimbo’s!

Today, almost 50 years later, Bimbo’s are still offering Flaming Good Taste at different locations in and around South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.

Concept

Under the Bimbo’s umbrella, franchisees have an option of two business models known as Bimbo’s Sit Down and Bimbo’s Take Away. Bimbo’s has earned the reputation as a high quality, value for money fast food store, offering our franchisees a great return on investment.

The Bimbo’s menu includes burgers, flame grilled chicken, shawarmas, toasted sandwiches, fresh cut chips and breakfasts, including the famous “BREAKFAST PITA”. Bimbo’s food has been a favourite amongst consumers for years.

Bimbo’s customers is anyone that enjoys good food and value for money. Bimbo’s appeals to the fun and young at heart.

A typical Bimbo’s outlet will occupy between 30m² to 60m² for a Take Away outlet and 80m² to 160m² for a Sit Down outlet. Bimbo’s ideal location is in Service stations and high foot traffic areas. Bimbo’s currently has sites in Engen and Caltex stations.
