The Brand

Blind Guys was established in 2009 in Secunda, Mpumalanga and by the end of 2017 the group had grown to one company-owned and ten franchised outlets.

The company aims towards a comprehensive national footprint and to be the provider of choice of its products and services throughout South Africa. It believes in enabling deserving individuals to become successful business persons in their own right.

Concept

Blind Guys sells and installs a range of high quality blinds, awnings, shutters, security gates and ancillary products to its customers in the residential and commercial sectors. The business is home-based which allows franchisees to keep overhead expenses to a minimum.
An office and safe storage area are also required. Key differentiators include the quality and wide range of Blind Guys’ products, the high degree of service delivery, the company’s competitive pricing and its know-how with regards to the products, installation and aftersales service.
Staff complement – franchisee plus 1 – 2 assistants; additional vehicles – driver/installer plus 1 – 2 assistants.

Support

The franchisor shall provide the franchisee and its staff with 4 (four) weeks’ initial training. In-house, including product knowledge training, sales skills training, business skills training, online training, administration and basic accounting. External trainers may also be used to present specialist topics. Upon the completion of the training, which includes 100% passing figure in respect of the training video, successful candidates shall receive certificates confirming them as Blind Guys Approved Consultants. Key staff shall receive sufficient training at a location/s selected by the franchisor.
