The Brand

Defendoor is the manufacturer and supplier of a range of superior quality security products available to residential and corporate clients nationally – and at highly affordable and competitive prices! The company was established in 2005, and when the current principal took over the business in 2011, the name was changed to Defendoor. Defendoor is perfectly positioned to revolutionise the entire security industry by offering the best products in the market at the best possible prices; and to establish a national footprint through a network of very affordable franchise outlets.


Defendoor does research & development, marketing & selling, manufacture and installation of quality, durable, maintenance-free security products which include retractable security doors, industrial roller shutters, aluminium roller shutters, swing gates, clear view fencing, horizontal bars, cottage pane bars and louvre security shutters to the public and to commercial communities. Franchisees will operate from kiosks or small showrooms in busy shopping centres or malls with high volumes of pedestrian traffic. These showrooms shall be around 30m2 in area and will contain a complete range of Defendoor’s product samples, as well as a demonstration kit. Defendoor franchisees will not need to carry any stock whatsoever. This means that no capital is tied up in stock. Staff comprise the franchisee, showroom assistant, driver/fitter and general assistant.


The franchisor shall provide the franchisee with 2 (two) weeks’ initial training. Training shall comprise both the theoretical and practical aspects of the business. The franchisor shall provide the franchisee with ongoing training from time to time, as required, as the business system develops and in order to stay abreast of developments and changes in the industry. In addition, senior personnel of the franchisor shall continuously advise and assist franchisees with regards to marketing and advertising.
