Ecomist was established through the Ecomist product in 1995, as an agency in Cape Town, and now as a result of John Vaglietti taking over in 2006, has become the main distributor of all Ecomist products, Enzyme treatments and Microbial applications in Southern Africa & Africa. Ecomist is a Pyrethrum-based, non irritant, natural, odourless and highly effective insect killer suitable for indoor use. It is approved for use in categories A, B & C by the New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries. It is also registered with the South African Department of Agriculture (Reg. no. L5513).

The company has now expanded to include an environmentally pest control programme to go hand in hand with the Ecomist aerosol dispensing units. We are the only specialist in the fly control sphere in South Africa and, this was achieved by our global contacts in New Zealand and Australia.

Ecomist is automatically dispensed via an aerosol unit which is battery operated.

Ecomist is environmentally friendly and contains no chloro-flourocarbons. The formulation is based on natural pyrethrum derived from plant extracts. It is harmless to humans & pets albeit the most effective insect deterrent known. Amongst the list of clients are well known hospitals, racing stables, food manufacturers, game lodges, office blocks and chicken and dairy farms.
