The Brand

In a few short years, Pedros has grown into a national brand with 70 amazing stores countrywide and many more planned in the pipeline. We recently opened our first store outside of SA – Pedros Airport Junction in Botswana.

Our aim is not only to disrupt the QSR market with our strong, consistent product and excellent pricing, but to be one of the leading flame-grilled chicken brands in SA!


Pedros believes that ‘local is lekker!’ and source all of our products from SA partners and producers. However, our vision, inspiration and strategy is global. We believe in ‘more tasto for less peso’ – that means a quality product, excellent service experience and unbeatable value for money.

We have a dedicated, centralized marketing team, committed to building brand awareness and digital strategies that optimize sales. Our mission is to motivate, support and grow our team, to inspire our franchise partners and produce excellent returns for all stakeholders.

We appeal to young professionals and families looking for a healthy, quick, wholesome meal and great value for money. The majority of our stores target lower middle-class to upper middle-class people (LSM 3 – 10), with many stores located in malls. However, our product is enjoyed by all! We’re currently SA’s fastest-growing fast-food chain as we expand our market share to include people from all walks of life. One day, there will be a Pedros in every town in SA and beyond.

A typical store has around 16 staff members, and currently we have over 1500 staff in the group.


Pedros has a dedicated training department, with highly experienced skills trainers providing staff with the necessary skills and support they need on an on-going basis, to ensure our people are the best at what they do.

We also have a host of ops managers looking after both corporate and franchise stores with dedicated day-to-day operational support.
