We kicked-off in 2006…

Max Webb, a rugby-playing parent was trying to find a pre-school rugby class for his three young boys…but back in 2006 there was nothing of that kind around.

It quickly became clear that he wasn’t the only parent looking for a rugby play programme for younger children, and what he’d spotted was a very exciting gap in the child development sector

Seizing the opportunity to start his own business – and fulfil his wish of involving his boys in rugby at a fun and accessible level – Max founded Rugbytots.

We’re now 80,000 strong…

Since 2006, we have grown beyond anything we could have imagined. 80,000 children in 20 countries on 7 continents are now part of the Rugbytots family. Here in South Africa, our specially trained coaches deliver hundreds of classes per week… and the numbers keep rising!

We’ve always worked hard to be innovative and push the boundaries of what an exceptional pre-school class should entail. We continually invest in kit and equipment that’s designed to our own specifications.

We developed our ‘fun first’ programme to promote core rugby principles while meeting important pre-school learning objectives such as colour, number and body-part recognition; counting, socialising, following instructions and using imagination.

All of this combines to make Rugbytots a truly distinctive experience – and one that we are always aiming to make even better.

Make your child’s development more fun!

Our fun, structured play sessions take children on a journey of sporting imagination with engaging and energetic coaches supporting them every step of the way whilst teaching how to catch, pass, kick, run with the ball and play as part of a team.

Our motto

Our motto is simple; “make it more fun”. We do this by delivering our specifically designed programme for each age group with energy, enthusiasm and excitement. This creates an atmosphere in the class that is totally unique and engaging for parents and children alike.

What to expect…

Existing customers and income:
- you will be taking on a business which is fully operational with a set number of classes running and children attending. This means that you’ll be receiving income from when you first take over. This will also allow you more time to focus on how you will maximise current venues and plan for future growth in the area.
Staff:
- One of the main challenges when it comes to running a franchise is finding the best possible coaches to deliver your classes. By purchasing an existing franchise, you will already have a team of highly trained coaches in place. Of course, it is important that you’re happy with the way that they’re delivering the classes but through the internal programme we use at Rugbytots, you can rest assured that these coaches will have been rigorously trained.
Venues:
- Another challenge of running a Rugbytots franchise is finding suitable venues in which to run your classes. By investing in an existing franchise, you will already have use of existing venues which is extremely beneficial.
Reputation:
- At Rugbytots, we pride ourselves on the quality of our classes and customer service. As the franchisor, we ensure that all of our franchisees are operating to the highest possible standard and therefore you will have the peace of mind that the existing business will have an excellent reputation.
Kit and equipment:
- Purchasing an existing franchise business will mean that you will inherit the existing business’ kit and equipment for use in the classes. This will mean that you will not need to purchase additional kit from the outset and can instead use the kit included within the franchise cost to start new venues.
Training:
- Whilst you will be purchasing an existing business, you will still receive exactly the same training as a new franchisee by the Directors of Rugbytots. As there is often a little more work to do when transferring a franchise to a new individual, there will be additional time spent with you and we will ensure that you’re completely happy with all aspects of the business.
Support:
- You will receive exactly the same support levels as a new franchisee. At Rugbytots, we pride ourselves on our industry leading support, which is completely unlimited with no additional costs. As testament to this support, we have been awarded a five star independent award for the last five years.
Schools and nurseries:
- As an existing business, it is highly likely that the franchisee will have developed excellent working relationships with schools and nurseries. As the new owner, you will be able to utilise and build on these.
