Signarama was established in Southern Africa in 2000, having been opened in the United States in 1986. Signarama has enjoyed steady, sustainable growth for nearly 25 years in Southern Africa. The first franchise was opened in Cape Town, and the business now covers the entire Southern African region. Signarama is targeting growth throughout Southern Africa and into new markets like Mauritius. Signarama aims to be the signage company of choice for local, regional, and international customers.

Signarama is the World’s largest sign franchise. Signarama Franchisees provide a range of products and services which help their customers improve their brand awareness, increase their customer base, and impact their bottom line – as such our target market is all businesses and individuals who wish to achieve that. There is no typical Signarama location, as our customers are everywhere. Staffing at store level varies as you grow, but to begin is typically 3 people. This can increase to as many as 30 as the business scales up.
Upon joining the Signarama Franchise, we offer an extensive four-week training program for new franchisees and their staff. This program encompasses in-person training covering Signarama operations, systems, and marketing insights. Additionally, it includes marketing and IT setups, introductions to suppliers and industry experts, and opportunities to interact with fellow franchisees and visit their stores for operational observation and setup insights. Once you have completed the first three weeks and your store is open, we will spend a further week with you conducting on-the-job training.
We continue to provide unlimited ongoing support through store visits, instructional videos, online webinars, conferences, support groups, and meetups.
Signarama is also extremely proud of its Mentor system – all new franchisees are appointed another franchisee who is able to mentor them during the formative stages of the business, in addition to the support provided by the franchise office.
To open your own Signarama store requires no experience. We have streamlined the franchising process, making it possible for anyone with the right attitude to jump right in and open their own business.
