The Signarama concept was founded by Ray Titus in Farmingdale, New York in 1986. Today the Signarama global head office is located in West Palm Beach, Florida, where all new franchisees attend a two week training programme. From here group activities around the globe are managed and co-ordinated via an extensive network of Master Franchisors, support offices and highly trained personnel.
Since establishing the first South African Signarama franchise in Cape Town in 1999, the national footprint of the brand has grown to include operations in all major areas. New franchisees attend a two week training course at the global head office followed by two weeks in-store training. In addition to the marketing fee used to promote brand awareness, franchisees must engage in a micro-marketing program used to help promote their individual store. Signarama provides the initial allocation of marketing material to ensure consistency in promoting the brand.
