This fast and growing conceptual idea was developed during the Covid 19 pandemic, when people were confined to their houses during the mandated period of lock down. This is when it was identified by Alon Rathbone, that people were depressed in general, wanted to enjoy their gardens and lawns, but during the winter season and lack of rain, were faced with the psychological depression of dead grass that their kids and dogs had to play on.
The concern was to develop a product that would be 100% organic, safe for humans and animals, that would dry relatively quickly, giving a lasting environmentally lush green lawn look to their depressing environments during the winter and lack of rain months. The product was then developed after numerous attempts and tests to get everything perfect, colour, drying times, being safe, environmentally friendly and green.
There is no damage to the lawn at all, as the product is water based and 100% organic, so when the natural growth that occurs, after being sprayed artificially, the next cut will allow the artificially green sprayed grass, to have a “haircut” when next mowed, to allow the natural green colour of grass again.
We discussed the concept and addressed some of the garden and maintenance contractors, who were all faced with staff layoffs during the winter months, possibly losing them during this lay off period, and still forfeiting their monthly incomes due to the lawns and grass being stagnant and dormant during this winter period. We were encouraged to develop the product for this use and purpose, as it is appealing to the Jones’s next door which should be systemic in demand in keeping up with the green lawns and verges of the neighbours. It’s like chalk and cheese, when sprayed next to a dead lawn. This product will allow contractor franchise holders to grow their businesses and have a more consistent income annually.
We do not propose that a garden service rebrand their current business, but just to add value of the second division thereto, by using the Spray It Green registered logo and franchise, to promote a national awareness of what could be done during the slow months, and to grow their offerings by advertising using the product, during other months. This is undoubtedly the most exciting and affordable development in garden maintenance.
The product can easily be used for advertising (even on a commercial basis) on any verges and grassed areas, to promote the product and ones extended offering, by spraying a stencil type advert on the grassed corners of the neighbourhood one is currently servicing, which would then promote the garden service, which would be both time and cost saving, compared to the traditional method of pamphlet drops, and expensive media advertising. This can be done in minutes, and be very effective, and has shown very positive and quick results.
Sprayit Green is a company focussed on providing its franchisees with all the tools necessary to be a success in the ever-growing sector of lawn maintenance and estate management services which continues to grow exponentially. We provide our franchisees with the necessary training and quality equipment to build and run a successful business.
Our target franchisee is one that already offers a successful lawn mowing or estate management service to their clients.
Franchisees will be required to grow their offering to their existing clients by offering the SprayIT Green concept, thereby retaining their client base, and increasing same with the neighbours also wanting this service. An active hands on franchisee is required to maximise the potential.
Franchisees should be forward thinking and dynamic in their approach to growing their business using the SprayIT Green opportunity.
