The Brand

The Fish & Chip Co started as a small business and eventually grew into a brand that had South Africa wanting more of the freshest fish and chips.

Taste Holdings acquired the Fish & Chip Co in 2012 and it forms part of a group who is dedicated to drive innovation and customer service in South Africa.

Concept

The Fish & Chip Co serves fresh and tasty fish and a lot of chips to consumers across South Africa and is one of the fastest growing and most popular fast food businesses. The Fish & Chip Co was nominated in the top 10 in the Fast-Food Restaurant category for the Sunday Times Top Brands 2015 awards. They were recently awarded the “Readers’ Choice Best Fish & Chip franchise 2020” by The Independent and The Star newspapers.

Over the years, The Fish & Chip Co has built a reputation for serving generous portions of fish and fresh cut chips at affordable prices. Customers will enjoy a delicious menu including our traditional fish and chips and mouthwatering Russian-style sausages.

Support

The franchisor provides assistance with preparing finance applications, identifying suitable sites, initial and ongoing training and support.

All franchisees are required to complete a five-day training programme that covers day-to-day operations, staffing, stock control, marketing, and management skills.

Franchisees are supported by an experienced team who facilitates communication and operational requirements between the franchisee and franchisor. Our business philosophy is to provide franchisees with guidance to build and operate a successful enterprise.
