Zipp Zone was established by Hester Kok in Montana, Pretoria in 2000 with a retail outlet in the Kolonade Shopping Centre. The company sells a unique and up-market range of ladies fashion items, including clothing, costume jewellery and various other accessories, designed and manufactured in its own factory, exclusively for supply to Zipp Zone outlets. Zipp Zone is looking to expand its footprint nationally by franchising the brand to deserving candidates.
Zipp Zone is an upscale ladies clothing boutique and its clientele encompasses women of all ages, from the very young to the more mature, who love to create their own style whether girly, chic, glamorous or casual. The range typically features elements of lace and vintage. The company’s focus is to provide ready-to-wear, unique, one-of-a-kind, designer apparel which includes tops, dresses, skirts, trousers, knits, accessories and handbags which, depending how the outfit is put together, creates a personalised look. Zipp Zone outlets are either 50m2 to 60m2 for Entry Level Franchises, or 90m2 to 100m2 for Standard Franchises with sufficient shop frontage and situated in prime sections of upmarket malls.
The franchisor shall provide the franchisee and its staff with 1 (one) month’s initial training. Training shall comprise both the theoretical and practical aspects of the business, including the point-of-sale system. The franchisor shall provide the franchisee with ongoing training from time to time, as required, as the business system develops and in order to stay abreast of developments and changes in the industry. In addition, senior personnel of the franchisor shall continuously assist franchisees with marketing.
