The Brand

Extractor Man has been serving the Restaurant and Commercial Kitchen community since 1988 where we specialized in cleaning, servicing and the true certification of Extraction Systems in Hotels and Restaurant Kitchens also doing installations and repairs of extraction and Fresh air systems. This means that we have more than 30 years’ experience servicing the Hospitality industry. Extractor Man started the Canopy servicing business 30 years ago and was the first company offering this service to restaurants and hotels.

Ascott Cooper (Pty) Ltd. took over the operation of EXTRACTOR MAN and we decided to take all the past experience and rebrand it Extractor man and take it to the next level where we have added a qualified electrician to the company in order to offer a more complete service. This means we can look after the extractor motor and the electrical control gear as well giving our customers more value for money when servicing or repairing their extractor systems.

All work is supervised and a Job Card with a multi-point checklist completed and signed off ensuring a complete and thorough service has been done. We are SANS (South African National Standards) compliant, BEE Certified and have all the insurance required to carry out work on practically any site. Because we are SANS registered our customers are guaranteed a valid service certificate that is recognized by the insurance industry.

We continue to develop equipment and system to make sure we offer a comprehensive service. We have a factory where we manufacture and fabricate Sheet metal products for our industry and would assist with this setting up for any franchise that would be interested in investing into this opportunity. Kitchen Fire Suppression is a necessity in most commercial kitchens and this is an addition as well as an advantage we hold over so-called opposition companies.

Concept

We offer a service that is required by law for all restaurants and extraction systems. We service and certify these businesses according to the National Standards requirements and we also manufacture to the specification in the regulations for new installations, repairs or additions. We solve extraction issues in commercial kitchens to improve productivity and comply with health and safety regulations. We are also an authorised ANSUL kitchen fire suppression partner for new installations and servicing.

Support

Every aspect of this business requires training and ongoing support. We provide this training and support, however the Fire training is done via third party entities and the cost for this would be an addition. The business can be started with the basic services offered with other services added when training is completed. Support and backup will be provided until training and compliance has be completed, in other words we would supply the compliant staff to assist with the servicing and installations until the training is completed.

Are You Our Next Franchisee?

In order to be successful in this business, a trade like Electrical would be an advantage, however this is not a prerequisite. A Grade 12 certificate and a CV would be required on application. The business must be run correctly and a full set of accounting books must be kept on Computer (Omni is a prerequisite) we do this online to a cloud system.
Omni offer training on the software.
