The Kapstadt Brauhaus was started at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town in 2018 and aspires to become one of the biggest chains in the country, with a store in every town.
It was founded by Douw Krugmann and his family. Douw has more than 30 years experience in the restaurant business and also founded the Cape Town Fish Market group.
The Kapstadt Brauhaus offers a menu of traditional German cuisine, including eisbein, schnitzels, pretzels, German sausages and alpine pizza. It is a casual dining establishment that caters to any LSM. Patrons can also pull in for a pint of one of the many local and international beers on offer. We have 12 beers on tap and aim to keep the house lager very affordable.
The restaurant has ample seating inside and outside and employs about 20 – 30 staff members.
The Brauhaus is the perfect venue for after-work drinks, family lunches, sports matches and celebrations with daily entertainment ranging from oompah groups to brass bands.
There are wurst places to shoot the breeze.
We provide a 2 to 3 month General Management training course, as well as:
* Front Of House training
* Back Of House training
* Bar training
We also have an in-house training department that provides training throughout the year.
