The Brand

Founded in the year 1993, Talisman Hire is focused on supplying quality equipment and service excellence through an extended network of franchised stores, prices to suit your budget and quick deliveries to meet your deadlines.

Talisman Hire has a network of more than 100 franchised outlets, with each store being owner-operated. Talisman Hire is renowned for being innovative with new developments and trends in this industry and continuously adds new lines of equipment to the existing ranges available on its hire fleet.

In 2017, Talisman Hire joined forces with Massbuild to establish a store-in-store concept in Builders.

By joining forces with Builders, Talisman Hire is expanding its footprint nationally and gaining access to an extended customer base. The concept offers convenient trading hours and Builders customers can hire equipment on their 30-day Builders account from more than 40 Talisman Hire | Builders Stores without opening a new account.

Our vision for Talisman Franchise Operations (Pty) Ltd is to establish a dynamic, innovating and flexible company by making use of the latest technology. Talisman Franchise Operations (Pty) Ltd was incorporated in South Africa in June 1997. By joining forces with franchisees nationally, we are providing high quality products and service to the building and related industries.

Since the opening the first TALISMAN Franchise in Centurion in May 1998, the network has expanded to an international network.

Currently the Talisman franchise network has thousands of customers holding it in high regard as to its quality products and customer service levels. Successful applicants will share in one of the most comprehensive and competitive franchise packages available on the market today.

Concept

Colin du Plessis founded TALISMAN in 1993 after 10 years of experience in the Hire Industry. The company was started with the concept of providing a one-stop service with professional backup and quality products to its customers.

At Talisman, we are proudly South African, with a strong love for our country and its incredible potential.

Support

Prior to opening:

Franchisees and senior staff members undergo training at an existing TALISMAN franchise for a period of two weeks prior to opening at new TALISMAN franchise. This training provides the new franchisee with important knowledge and an excellent feel for the Hire business.

After opening:

Training is ongoing after opening with continued support to implement systems and procedures. In-house and outsourced training is provided by Talisman Franchise Operations, product suppliers and training consultants. Some of the training is at no cost to the franchise.
