TimBuild is a dynamic and successful hardware franchise Group lead by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. Whilst the TimBuild brand only launched in 2022, most of the TimBuild stores have been part of their respective communities from as far back as 1982 (trading under a different brand name).

Each TimBuild store is owner managed and is driven by innovation, affordability and a knowledgeable, enthusiastic team. Offering specialist services such as cutting, edging and our exclusive range of pre-assembled SMART DIY Cupboards helps set TimBuild apart.

Concept

Some key information about the TimBuild opportunity:

Premises Requirements: Depending on your chosen categories, your store should be at least 500m²; if you plan to include cutting and edging services, you’ll need around 1200m².
Capital Requirement: To open a medium-sized store, a budget of approximately R4.5 million is required—at least half of this should be unencumbered.
Operational Model: We don’t offer turnkey operations. Franchisees are expected to secure their own premises and manage supplier accounts independently.

Are You Our Next Franchisee?

Must have proven track record in the retail sector. Must have a premises available or identified. Background and credit checks will apply. Unencumbered Capital available. Good trade references and SARS compliant. Individual must be self driven and hands-on and open to change. The individual must be willing to embrace the TimBuild Culture and in order for our recipe to work needs to adhere to our Franchise Manual.
