When as a student, the dynamic entrepreneur Alex Fourie tried to get his iPod repaired, only to be told it could not be done and that he’d have to buy a new one. He refused to accept that and decided to fix it himself. “I ordered a part and watched a You-Tube video on how to fix it.” Friends heard about it and were soon asking him to fix their devices. He then placed an advertisement in a Cape Town newspaper and the demand became so great he employed a friend who’d studied engineering to help out and opened his first store.
What started out in a Stellenbosch University dorm in 2007 has grown into a chain and moved into the forefront of the mobile repair industry by accumulating vast experience over the years.
weFix now operates out of top shopping locations with 25 stores nationwide. This store base is set to grow substantially, as plans for growth both locally and internationally, come to fruition alongside the attraction and leveraging of top caliber talent.
weFix prides itself in same day or 24 hour service, which includes online bookings, walk ins and fetch and drop facilities.
Our stores are generally in top end shopping centres throughout the country and usually located within the cellular and electronics node of the centre.
We attract all smart device users from the everyday customer to surrounding businesses and office blocks.
weFix conducts training at an appropriate weFix store nearest to your approved location. The programme will provide practical on the job and theoretical training for Franchise operators as well as front of house receptionists and workshop technicians.
Support will be provided by regional offices in all the major geographic regions of South Africa.
You will be required to have the financial resources and track record as well as the attributes of a business owner.
