The Masisizane Fund is an initiative of Old Mutual established in 2007 following the closure of the Unclaimed Share Schemes Trust and in consultation with the National Treasury of South Africa.
Our mandate is underpinned by the Global Sustainability Goals (SDG) and seeks to reduce inequality, poverty, and unemployment through providing of funding and business support to SMMEs. Ultimately contributing to provision of decent work and economic growth.
The Fund has a specific focus on black-owned enterprises with a special focus in women, youth and persons living with disabilities. Our work is centred in under-developed areas of South Africa. The fund assists operational and registered businesses.
